The New Administrative Office for Madison County is a perfect addition to Canton's historic downtown square and the administrative functions of the county government. The new addition will connect to the existing Chancery Building that faces the square and provide a more inviting entry for the public to carry out county business. The slope of the site provided the opportunity to create parking under the building and records storage space. The building provides the Board of Supervisors with a new Board room, Supervisor Offices, Administrative Offices, Chancery Clerk, Planning & Zoning, and Tax Assessor. Additionally, the space in the existing Chancery Building will be renovated to meet the needs of other deparments.
