USAF SQUADRON OPERATIONS HEADQUARTERS
JH&H served as the Prime A/E on the new 60,000 square foot Squadron Operations and Administration Facility. The project design required a two story Multi-use facility combining Base Operations and Headquarters Facilities, Training Spaces and Life Support areas. In the Multi-use spaces, a 200-seat auditorium with telecommunications and video conference equipment is coupled with smaller meeting spaces to accommodate secure training areas. The team compiled by JH&H worked closely with users of the facility to bring together other special features such as the highly technical equipment for base operations. The facility includes an Intelligence vault, SCIF and support for classified training command module and secured weapons, equipment, uniform and helmet storage.
USAF ACADEMIC DEVELOPMENT ADMINISTRATIVE FACILITYY
JH&H served as the Prime A/E on the new 35,000 square foot Administrative and Academic Curriculum Development Facility. The Multi-use building included spaces with classrooms, electronic conference facilities, a resource center and administrative areas. The facility serves as the main resource for other satellite facilities to share data and information. As with other Multi-use office/conference buildings, change is inevitable, therefore, a free-span structural system with demountable partitions, systems furniture, and computer access flooring were used throughout. These elements allow for easy configuration for spaces as need arises.
VARIOUS PROJECTS - IDIQ IDR
JH&H provided A/E design as a finalist for the design-build proposal for the C130-J Flight Simulator Facility to be located at Keesler Air Force Base. The design rated number one among the five finalists. The facility design is a two story 4,100 square meter complex designed in two wings connected by a central entry core. The project was designed to house two Full Motion Weapon System Trainers for the new model Lockheed Hercules aircraft, a rear cabin/fuselage trainer, two non-motion instrument flight trainers, two avionics part task trainers, offices, classrooms, conference rooms and support areas. The project design integrated public and classified areas while maintaining the necessary security requirements.
